FDM accessories are an essential part of the FDM 3D printing process, helping users achieve higher quality prints with greater ease and efficiency. Investing in the right accessories can make all the difference in your 3D printing journey. These accessories include items such as support washout stations, transformers and filament dryer boxes. Feel free to ask us for a quote for a new 3D printer, including suitable accessories. We are also happy to replace your aging accessories with new ones.
Filament DryBox
Filament dry boxes have become an essential tool in the 3D printing industry. These boxes are specifically designed to keep the filament dry to ensuring high-quality prints without any moisture-related issues during the printing process. One of the main advantages of using a filament dry box is that it helps preserve the quality of the filament. The 8,195 cm³ spools for Stratasys Fortus 3D printers are stored outside the printer, which is why there needs to be a drying and storage option. In the Dry Box, the spool is stored and unwound neatly, preventing material tangling or water absorption. The Dry Box is positioned right next to the Fortus system, and the plastic filament is fed directly to the drive blocks. This allows you to use 8,195 cc material spools on your Fortus printer without fear of quality degradation during the printing process due to moisture in the material.
ShopCleaning station
FDM cleaning stations are used to remove the soluble support material from Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) 3D prints. The soluble support material is used during the printing process to support overhanging and intricate features of the print, but must be removed after printing is complete. There are several types of FDM support cleaning stations available on the market, ranging in size and complexity. Some models are designed for small-scale use, while others are capable of handling larger prints or high-volume production. It uses a combination of agitation and temperature control to effectively dissolve and remove the support material from the printed object. Popular models include the SCA3600 and SCA1200 cleaning stations, both of which are suitable for use with a variety of 3D printers. Feel free to let us know your requirements for a cleaning station or browse through our online shop for a suitable model.
We are also offering some used washout stations and accessories in our shop, suitable for FDM 3D printers.
ShopIsolation transformer
A transformer is a crucial component in the power supply chain of a 3D printer, allowing it to safely and efficiently operate from a standard AC wall outlet. A transformer works by using electromagnetic induction to transfer electrical energy from one circuit to another. In the case of a 3D printer, the input side of the transformer is connected to a standard AC wall outlet, while the output side is connected to the printer’s power supply unit (PSU). The PSU then converts the lower-voltage DC power from the transformer into the specific voltage and current levels required by the printer’s various components, such as the motors, hotend, and heated bed. Without a transformer, it would be impossible to safely and effectively power a 3D printer from a standard AC wall outlet, as the high voltage and current levels could easily damage the printer’s delicate electronic components.
